Forest Home and Design has a rich history as a family owned business for over 100 years. In 1904 Antonino Caruso came to San Francisco from Trabia, Sicily. He quickly emerged as an expert farmer and rancher and acquired thousands of acres of fruit tree orchards and eventually formed C.C. & F. cannery company in Northern California.

Over the years, the family grew and branched off into land development and construction. Jones and Guerra Construction and Guerra Realty forged ahead in the 1950’s. In 1985 Patricia Ann Forst formed Forst Commercial Real Estate and would become one of the first women titans in the industry.

Patricia began a life partnership with Antonino’s grandson who was also named after him. He would help her build the business as a consultant. After her death in 2017, the family carried on the tradition, rebranding as Forest Home and Design. Antonino still consults with his son Frank Caruso and wife Laine as they take the business into new fields and directions.
